Abstract
The purpose of this study was to survey dentists´ and dental patients´ own habits to select oral hygiene devices and provide the recommended information. Questionnaires were mailed to 240 dentists and 320 patients and the data were calculated and discussed. The obtained results were as follows:
1. The patients usually select toothbrush and other oral hygiene devices by means of their habits and preferences.
2. Dentists´ suggestions made to patients were based on the cursory information.
3. To improved the oral health status effectively, more improved and correct informations should be provide to the dentists and patients.
